In a move that is being hailed as a big win for both mental health advocates and forensic examiners alike the International Association for Identification announced today that the their board of directors had unanimously passed a resolution which would allow examiners who also have been diagnosed with multiple personality disorder to serve as a verifier for their own cases. Dr. J. Mehoff, Chair of Psychiatry at Johns Hopskins University said; "The stigma of multiple personality disorder has gone on long enough, it's about time somebody recognized the need for change." The resolution is due for a full vote at the August conference in Atlanta.
