For over 2 years the State of the Illinois Budget has been at a stalemate, held captive by both sides of the political spectrum in order to force in their own political agenda. Meanwhile, the state has been hemmoraging money, unable to pay it's bills, and loosing it's citizens and jobs to more favorable conditions in its neighboring states. A long time Resident was recently quoted as saying "these jobs won't be worth anything soon, this is what they did to the mines."

Today, what many illinoisians have long feared as happened. After Illinois credit rating was again downgraded, to junk status, Illinois has filed for class 57 Bankruptcy. Under federal class 57 Bankruptcy laws, the declaring state will be divided up and absorbed by all neighboring states. The state of Illinois will cease to exist by fiscal year 2018. If you believe this, you shouldn't share any news on facebook.
