Mercer Island, WA - Saturday, the Loch Ness Monster was seen in Lake Washington near the Mercer Island Beach Club. Cutty Briar, Washington Department of Fish and Game says, "Loch Ness Monsters are known to be able to swim between salt and fresh water. Although they are able to swim in fresh water typically they are only found in tropical rivers around the world." Boaters and swimmers in Lake Washington are on high alert as the summer boating season is in high gear. A team of experienced Loch Ness Monster hunters will be attempting to catch the monster this week, and have already begun dropping chum around the lake. Residents are advised to avoid chum pools during swimming.
