South Georgia teacher, Tony Pearson, recently accepted a position at the famed Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Unprecedented as it is, a United States citizen teaching at Britain’s famed Wizarding School, Pearson gladly accepted the position, sending his acceptance via an owl he acquired from a colleague, Athena Harwood. “Mr. Pearson will be sorely missed, but I think we all saw this coming. His magical touch in the classroom has been apparent for some time, and he will finally be able to “come out” as the wizard we all knew him to be.” When pressed for more information about knowledge of his wizarding abilities, Harwood said, “Well, nobody knew how he could always seem to magically appear anywhere in the school. Now we all know that he apparates. Also, during a particularly difficult recess incident, he broke up a scuffle by shouting, “Expelliarmus!”, which immediately restored order to the playground.” When asked what subject Mr. Pearson would be teaching, Harwood answered, “Defense Against the Dark Arts, naturally. I, myself, teach there part time, instructing students in transfiguration, a skill I learned from Tonks.” With these words, Harwood showed her prowess with the art by changing her hair from dark auburn to royal blue.
