A local woman, Mrs. Catherine Stanley of Millbourne Rise in Ashbourne, Co. Meath, has been deemed mentally insane by doctors. Mrs. Stanley was seen yesterday evening by residents running out of her home screaming, jumping up and down and waving a dishcloth in the air. According to an eyewitness account, Mrs. Stanley claimed she had 'seen a fly in her kitchen'.

Mrs. Stanley is the mother of a five-year old child who, according to her, 'drives her crazy'. She also has a husband who she says is 'addicted to video games and playing with toys'. She mentioned that 'all (her) neighbours would be jealous' when her husband became a best-selling author.

Mrs. Stanley works in a training centre for disadvantaged youths in Dublin's north inner-city. This factor seems to be the one that makes her the angriest. One of the trainees at the centre, 'Chantelle', said that Mrs. Stanley hit her over the head with a snooker stick during a friendly game of snooker.

All of the above are contributing factors that Catherine said 'drove her over the edge'. Men in white coats, accompanied by An Garda Síochána, were seen escorting Mrs. Stanley from her home. A neighbour said Catherine 'went with her willingly'.
