For all of you pranksters taking generation after generation into the woods for the legendary snipe hunting prank, you may have been pranked by Mother Nature herself. It turns out the species does actually exist, according to local scientists affiliated with the DNR departments in the Appalachian Region. They are still learning about the species and its habitats, however they have confirmed this is a very old and rare breed. So all of you hunters looking for fame, a live snipe is worth much more than a dead one. If you do come across one in the backlands or even your own background you are advised to leave it unharmed.
