After day five of WWBA, Jacob Compton has really impressed coaches with his smooth, athletic swing. He's quick to the baseball, and he always makes good contact. When head coach Mike Bianco of Ole Miss saw this, he said he was "hooked immediately." He commented on his athletic ability at 1B as well saying "at Ole Miss we can really use someone like this on the field and in the lineup." After Jacob's power showcase at his last game, coach Bianco talked with him and gave him an offer.
