C&H Oyster Bar in Elizabeth City will open in October for its final season. After the 2016 death of founder, Tom Cox, the restaurant initially stated business would continue as usual. Now, the popular seafood restaurant, which has been a seafood staple in the area for nearly 50 years, has decided to open up for just one more season. When asked about the decision, restaurant management said that it's not easy, but it is the right decision with the timing. The Oyster Bar will be open the first week of October and remain open through the end of April 2018.
