Quinlan, TX -- Locals here woke up to a shocking sight and a foul odor this morning -- the body of a large Sasquatch-type creature which was decomposing. The creature type, better known by many in North America as Bigfoot, was found on the Western edge of town, about fifty yards from Highway 276. Residents hope this ends local cattle abductions.
From what we can determine, a local resident, tired of having his cattle slaughtered by the creature, had placed several homemade steel traps on his land in hopes of ending the thefts. To quote the man, who did not wish to be identified, "This critter was amazingly huge! It had been snatching and mutilating my cattle at an alarming pace, but then he stole Betty Sue, my prize Brahma, and I just knew it was time for action. After not getting any help from the local Hunt County Bureau of Sasquatch Management, I decided to take things in my own hands."
While we have no evidence of any other such creatures in the local area, experts strongly suggest sprinkling ground peppermint candy around around your residence, as the pleasant minty smell seems to deter them. The creature's body has been sent to a local lab for analysis. More details as this story develops.
