The Laurel County Fair will have it's First Annual Venomous Snake Petting Zoo at this years event. Children and adults will have the opportunity to reach through the petting ports and actually pet venomous snakes from all over the world.

According to the operator Hu Flung Wun of North Korea said of this experience "Snake Town USA," "this year we have cobras like we always do, but several other types of snakes, we'll have the infamous 2 step snake from South Vietnam, Asian Leaping Asps, Falling Tree Snakes, Mambas, both black and green ones, as well as 4 Rhinoceros Vipers, and about 2 bushels of various mixed venomous snakes.

Also Mr. Wuns' second cousin Tu Dam Fang, who is a world renowned snake expert and business partner said "snake petting ports are fairly safe and we don't get too many people bit, but if they do, we have plenty of antivenom for sale for only 15 bucks a vial since we buy in bulk. Also we put the sedative sodium phenobarbital in the snakes water 1 day before. We had a kid last year grab one of the mambas' and tried to crack it like a whip and it never even woke up!"

The event Snake Town USA will be open this evening at the fairgrounds 6 p.m. til 8 p.m. At 8:15 p.m. we feed the massive Himalayan Horse Eating Snake a goat, however seating at the snake feeding will cost an extra 5 dollars per person. Also there will be a "Rattlesnake Roundup." The cost is 25 dollars to participate. There will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes. This will be open to all ages.
