Shortly after arriving to Tannery Gulch Campground soon after our camp was set, my two daughters were yelling at me to look down to the lake, Trinity Lake, yelling "Dad! What is that thing!"
Certainly expecting to see a bird or something...there I saw a writhing snake like head and a long neck bobbing up and down just like a large anaconda. I couldn't believe what we were seeing. I immediately yelled at a neighbor camper to collaborate what were watching. Dumbfounded we all watch it for about 45 seconds then it submerged under the water with a slight effortless push of a flipper- like appendage. It definitely was so surreal. My kids don't want to go in the water again but they also asked to come back every weekend to see the creature again.
