Governor Greg Abbott of Texas announced today that behind closed door meetings with the Texas House and Senate they have agreed to succeed from the United States of America and become the new nation "The United State of Texas".
This will become official as of January 1, 2018. Governor Abbott will hold a press conference later today to make the announcement official.
