Vancouver Island B.C. is in the midst of a severe housing crunch and with hotels full, news of worsening forest fires in the B.C. interior has turned many Sasquatch who have come to the island for a summer retreat stranded and scrambling for accommodations.
Sasquatch regularly frequent Mount Washington, a popular snowboard destination for human millenials in the winter. By summer it becomes a solitary meeting place for 20 something Sasquatch every year at a gathering known as "SquatchFest".
The Festival has been a sell out show for the past seven years with headlining bands such as Gowan and Rush performing. An estimated 800 Sasquatch are currently reported on the island but so far only one unconfirmed sighting.
No Sasquatches were available for comment.
