Boys (19) in high-speed chase after stealing car 'at gunpoint'

Out-of-control teens stole a car and drove it for almost 80km.
The dramatic incident unfolded at around 10.30pm on Friday when the 19-year-old boys was travelling in a car in South Dublin.
Heavily armed gardaí were then involved in a high-speed motorway chase which was eventually brought to an end near Tallaght, Dublin.
The teenagers drove the silver Ford onto the M3 motorway and southbound.
The teenagers were detained for alleged dangerous driving and drink driving offences and taken to Kevin Street Garda Station.
They were then charged this morning and both sentenced to 16 months in Jail.
The stolen car was not damaged in the chase but it is understood the boys now will be moved to more secure residential accommodation.
