Brain eating Parasites found in Weiss Lake water test

Earlier in the week, a group of workers for Coosa River Keeper took a water sample at Bay Springs Marina, on Weiss Lake in Centre Al, and tested the sample and found a special newly introduced parasite that eats the brain of whatever the parasite will attach to. A freshwater tank with clear water was placed in the lab and a sample of water from Weiss was added to it and a largemouth bass was placed in the tank, the fish died shortly after a 24 hour. Scientist believe this is the cause of why sand rock high school students are drastacly dropping test score averages. As of now the lake will still be open to the public we caution everyone to swim st your own risk and keep open cuts bandaged...
