In lieu of the company's decision to close and consolidate stores among a few states, United Rentals' head CEO has stepped down in order to help the company achieve their overall vision. This has come as a surprise since URI stock was trading at an all time high. It appeared the company was on track for a record breaking year. Company spokesperson, Jonathan Buyear, believes that their new CEO will help the company achieve their overall goals and vision to be the best rental company possible. New CEO, David Swank, will officially start on August 1, 2017.
