Miami Fl (AP)- Current Hialeah Mayor Carlos Hernandez has vowed to crack down on the "widespread epidemic of illegally constructed efficiencies in single family homes all over the city", as reported in an interview with the Herald this past Tuesday. A fine of $5,000 and and possible jail time for homeowners for those caught may go into affect as soon as August.
