Authorities have confirmed that a bull shark was spotted in the lower section of the Flint River today, July 20, 2017. The sighting was near where the Flint River deposits into the Tennessee River. While there is still a lot of speculation, a bull shark in the Flint River is not to be taken lightly. Use extreme caution when entering the river and stay away from the South end of the river, especially deeper spots. If you spot the shark, call authorities immediately and let them know when and where you saw it.
