I rare summertime snowstorm is about to impact the northeast Wednesday into Thursday, even though it's the middle of summer. It happens when cold air in the upper atmosphere is extremely cold and can't get warm enough before it hits the ground, even though the outside temperature is way to warm that you think it would be impossible to snow.
The northeast areas to be impacted are The south-central area of Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, and parts of northern Virginia.
