The Pentagon today has released a new military award for the troopers who cannot quite make it through basic training. The "You almost had it award" will go to any service member who was able to get through week 0 or processing week of the Armed forces. General Thomas J. Harwrick III of the US Army 12th Special command and special appeasement along with General R.T. Lonx of the Us Marine Special counter Intel and operations program said this award was vital to all citizens, due to the nature and the scope of this generations need for a pat on the back, even if they fall short. Gen Lonx went on to say that even when my own kids fall short I give them a pat on the back and tell them you almost had it and that is the nature behind this award. Critics of the plan like PFC John C. Bright of 4th entertainment brigade and a custodial specialist said this is just a crock of sh*t, why should failing be awarded. Third grade elementary student Little George Poolon said he dont get an award for finishing last in the 20 yard dash at the local carnivals, why should failures get an award. The President was unavailable for comment but a White House spokesman said that if the Pentagon thinks it is a good Idea we should let the plan go through before we make any recommendations. The you almost had it award will be placed in-between the Bronze star and the Purple heart in order of importance to show everyone that just because you get wounded in combat that does not always make you a winner and just because you quit basic does not always make you a failure. "How do we know what some of these guys could have been?" Col. Jessie S. Jamison Naval Special Warfare.
