Well known pop star Midge Ure has confessed to stealing four cans of milk from a grocery store in Scarborough. The event took place just hours before Ure was supposed to take to the stage of the Scarborough Open Air Theatre for a sold-out concert.
"He got away but I recognised the bugger from the posters that are splashed all over town", tells grocery store owner Nigel Blackwell. Ure was confronted in his hotel room and confessed immediately.
The concert went ahead as scheduled. However, a small but noisy contingent at the back of the crowd, wearing Half Man Half Biscuit t-shirts could be heard chanting "Midge Ure looks like a milk thief!"
So far there have been no comments from the Midge Ure camp.
