It has been in the works since the off season. The Pittsburgh Steelers sign a new contract with Colin Kaepernick worth 45.6 Million Dollars for the next 5 years. He will become the new starting Quarterback this season, due to Ben Roethlisberger knee surgery he will undertake in Mid August.
Roethlisberger said in an interview, "Kaepernick will be a great asset to the team while I am recovering". The staff, and players are grateful for this new opportunity in 2017.
Mike Tomlin, Head Coach stated to the press, Colin will be the starting Quarterback. We are very excited that the organization brought him on board. He will make a great impact on the team, and help us to get the level in the season.
