—CASPER, WY On a routine morning walk earlier in August, Nimbus, an aging mixed-breed dog, met another family-with-dog who were very intrigued to learn that Nimbus turns 15 years old this August 21st.
That simple, seemingly harmless fact is what has turned this mellowed old dog into overnight celebrity. August 21 is also the day of the American Eclipse and Casper is in the direct path.
Residents are talking about the curious case of Nimbus—whose name alone conjures the supernatural. Humans like to convert "dog" years to "human years" which in his case is 15x7= 105. The number 105, the product of three consecutive prime numbers, is itself a magical number. The coincidences pile up: both 105 and 15 are triangular numbers....some quick google searches compound the exciting number-magick.
The town has wasted no time preparing Nimbus to be at center stage for the Big Day. What does Nimbus think of his sudden fame? He's taking it in stride (accepting all attention involving lots of petting) between very long naps.
