Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre announced Sunday that he has signed a one year contract to return to the Nation Football League as starting quarterback for the Chicago Bears. Favre will make his debut with the Bears in their forth preseason game against the Cleveland Browns on August 31, 2017.

When asked about his return Favre said that he was in the best condition of his life and thought he still had what it takes to play in the league. Coach Fox refrained from comment other than that he looked forward to seeing Favre in practice and that he would be a valuable piece to the restructured offense.

There is a clause in the contract that would allow Favre to return for a second season if the Bears finished with more than twelve wins with him at the helm.
