Just moments after asking his dad why he couldn't win the lottery a Sylva man learned that he had the winning ticket for last week's Powerball. Nathan Vogler, a chef and culinary arts student at Southwestern University, discovered that he had the winning ticket in his sock drawer. He had no idea how it got there. It just appeared.
"This is a really big deal", said Powerball lottery official Fritz Feezle. "The cash payout is a million a year for life."
Oddly enough, Vogler stated that he couldn't recall even having bought the ticket. "It's like I wished for it to happen, and it happened. Now I'll be able to get that Chevelle I was just telling Pop about."
Vogler's father Tom Vogler noted that people were developing super powers from the recent solar eclipse.
"I'm just happy he's doing something with his life", he said.
