Today, Gildan Rush, a 6 year old native Arkansan found discovered gold while playing in his backyard in Bentonville, AR. When interviewing the young boy, he was quoted as saying, "My nose was plugged up so I went to pick it. When I pulled my finger out, a gold rock fell out." Geologists have confirmed that the nugget in question is in fact gold, approximately 22k.
Parents have for years jokingly referred to picking noses as "mining for gold." Apparently, that euphemism has its roots in truth.
