Long-time champion of the downtrodden and local garbage hero has been hailed by local members of Philadelphia's Latino community. James O'Donnell, an IT professional for an ancient CPA firm, began his quest to earn supplementary income by using his new Honda Ridgeline for Uber. The Uber logo was misinterpreted by Juan Carlo, a carpenter in the area as "the sign of the garbage king" or "marka de Dios de la Basura" and James was worshiped as a god.

Instead of turning his followers away, James adopted the title and ceremonial vestments and became the true god of trash. Hefty bags overflowing with hot garbage littered the sidewalk outside James' South Street apartment in the hopes that he would bless them with good fortune.

"It's been weird, I'm not gonna lie," commented James. "I'm a Trash God know, so...you know, that has its privileges."

Though most of these "privileges" come in the form of "first pick of recyclables" and "decent furniture", James seems hardly deterred from adopting the life of a living god.
