Plus-size retailers Torrid and Avenue are set to begin closing all of their U.S. based stores in early October of 2017. Sluggish sales in the U.S. and Canada led the companies to file for Chapter 13 bankruptcy and begin liquidation proceedings.
The move is believed to stem from angry husbands divorcing their wives for running their credit cards up on cold-shoulder tops and distressed jeans.
