A recent investigation found the Cleveland Indians Organization guilty of large scale hacking/tampering within many of the other MLB organizational databases. Questions arose when another AL Central Division foe, the Kansas City Royals found some inconsistencies with their recent scouting reports on the Indians. Professionals in the field of Web Security said that the breadth of the breach was still being investigated, however, it was apparent that this tampering had been in process for many months now, and could have directly affected the team's recent 21 game winning streak.

MLB Commissioner, Robert Manfred, came down hard on the organization with MLB's first ever post-season ban. The Indians will also surrender their first and second round draft picks for the next two seasons. Manfred was quoted as saying, "There is no place in the game for this type of conduct, and so our decision to impose this ban was necessary to make a firm statement that behaviors like this moving forward will be dealt with quickly and definitively."

The Indians front office did not have any immediate comments. Many of the players, under the leadership of Corey Kluber (team representitive) are working with the MLBPA to file an official appeal.
