"It's truly a no brainer," Rep. Karl Hokstra (R) of Holland Michigan was quoted outside of the Capital building in Lansing, "there has to be a solution to road repair costs. The brewing industry is exploding, people are spending more and more of their hard earned income on their cash having and addictions. We can't curb that behavior, but perhaps we could fix a curb or two with a bit more contributions from this Sin industry."

Mr. Hokstra appears not to be alone. In a late night sessions that went well after dark on Thursday, September 14th, the Michigan House voted to look into the Bill.

"With an estimated $7 billion economic impact in the state of Michigan, surely we can focus some of this money on something actually good and positive in our neighborhoods and highways." The West side representative explains. "A 10-15 increase on State and 20 increase on local City taxes on production could go a long way to fixing some infrastructure."

The Bill will have to go through several steps before getting passed, but it looks like an odds on favorite to happen at this moment.
