Trump issued an executive order Friday morning providing for additional funding for the Hershey's Corporation to continue manufacturing original Reese's Peanut Butter Cups through Halloween 2025. Hershey's had previously announced they would be discontinuing the beloved candy due to a decline in sales. The White House, when reached for comment, explained that President Trump had fired the entire federal security detail from Trump Tower, several golf courses, and his Mar-a-Lago resort, which was destroyed by Hurricane Irma, to free up the funding. Trump saw saving the candy as a priority because he eats at least 6 Reese's cups every day, the White House said.
