Ferguson's decision to purchase a local janitorial supply company Matera paper has been ruled to be a mistake. Effective October 1st 2017 Ferguson has partnered with Gulf Coast Paper Company to transfer any and all shares to the Gulf Coast Paper Company family names. This decision has come to the surprise of many folks in the janitorial supply business. Spokesman for Ferguson Enterprises said " it has become increasingly difficult to maintain a growing business within the culture of Matera paper company's established Salesforce. It is in the best interest of all to cut ties now unfortunately less than a year-and-a-half into this venture. We are deeply saddened by this decision".
