Thursday evening, marine biologist Richard Voytenburge captured what he says is "nothing short of a miracle". Voytenburg, while developing a new study on marine bacteria on certain types of pelagic fish, noticed something a little off on his reports. He claims that an unidentifiable demersal organism entered the pelagic zone of the Atlantic Ocean. This is very common as most demersal fish, who reside on or near the bottom of the ocean, tend to come up every once in a while. Voytenburg explained that "this was no ordinary fish." He claims this unidentified organism contained both " characteristics typically pertaining to pelagic fish as well as demersal." The speed and accuracy of the organism's movements are what drew Voytenburg into a frenzy of confusion. He then noticed it had "other characteristics". Characteristics that most people would instantly recognize. On Thursday September 14, 2017, at roughly 7:48 pm, Voytenburg discovered what we would know as a "mermaid". He called it a "natural phenomenon". He recalls having a sense of peace and compassion upon looking at the creature, before it darted away, back into the darkness. Luckily for him, due to his research, cameras are always recording his studies. Matthew Johnson, his assistant, denies seeing anything unusual, but the photographic evidence prove otherwise. Experts have still not confirmed if this is an elaborate hoax, or if this is the real deal. Ariel might not be as ficitional as we previously thought. For more updates, check back here.
