PWBA Honors Dori Tingoli as National Bowling Center Manager of the Year

Ms. Dori Tingoli went to bed last night as just the revered (and often feared) manager of NJ's finest bowling establishment, Rockaway Lanes. This morning she wakes up as the Professional Women's Bowling Association's National Manager of the Year.
"You're damn right," Tingoli posted on Facebook on Friday morning. "Everyone knows that I run North Jersey. You see it on their faces when I step foot in other centers. You hear the whispers. It's about time I get that same level of respect at the national level. That same level of fear."
Tingoli's popularity in the Northeast and her claim to power is based on the image of Rockaway Lanes as the "gold standard" in terms of how to cater to bowling's elites. On her style of management, one current Rockaway Lanes employee who wished to remain anonymous said that, "the way Rockaway has been run by Dori over the last few decades is more like the mafia. The mafia boss must be invincible. The moment that there's any sign of weakness, or anyone stepping out of line, she takes care of it. There's nothing that goes on here that she doesn't know about. There's nothing that she won't take care of. There's nothing she's not willing to do."
"Bowling proprietors can crumble overnight or they can last," Rich Mark, owner of Rockaway Lanes, told BreakingNews365. "I've known for a long time that the secret to this place - the thing that nobody else has - the reason I'm where I am today - is Dori Tingoli at the healm." Mark added that bowling centers trying to compensate for a lack of iron fist leadership at the top with gimmicks like laser tag and arcade machines are "going down."
Rockaway Lanes will be hosting "Dori Tingoli Fun Night" on Friday, September 15, 2017 to celebrate her accomplishments in the bowling world. Fans will compete for prizes including autographed jerseys and bowling pins.
