(Naperville, IL) The Naperville Police Department has recently cracked down on individuals growing Marijuana. A local study found that Marijuana use in Naperville has increased 31 in the last 3 years, and has drawn the attention of the Naperville Police department. In fact, local police have been spotted patrolling residential properties looking for any evidence to obtain a search warrant.

Naperville police chief Robert Marshall states “We will no longer tolerate the use or growth of Marijuana in our city. Our children deserve better, and so do our children's children. Currently, we are increasing fines and jail time for anyone growing or using this deplorable plant.” He goes on to say, “If you are growing it (Marijuana), we will find you, and you will be prosecuted.”

The Naperville Police have reported that they believe the increase in Marijuana is a result of local growers. “Currently we believe the source is just west of Route 59 by the train station. We are going to put all of our resources in finding the culprits. It’s going to take a lot of our time and resources but it’s just another day at the job.”
