Wawa in the Pleasant Plains section of Toms River who coincidentally is closed for renovations has gotten themselves into some hot water. After noticing wild turkeys wandering in the area and employee captured, plucked, and served hot turkey as an item on the menu a month earlier than Wawa does every year for the Fall season. The location shut down and is doing some renovations for a month but, from what inside sources tell us is that from the process of mutulitating the turkey causedtoo many health code violations where they were ordered to shut down for 30 days. In the meantime they can redo the whole store to a more turkey friendly environment.
