Network executives have abruptly pulled the plug on ratings king Big Brother Celebrity Edition amid a growing scandal that pitts show runners against claims made by a popular contestant.
Originally slated as a mid-season replacement show scheduled to air this winter, the network had decided to scrap the show as recent turn of events play out.
"For certain, the celebrity edition of the show will not proceed. It remains to be determined if the 2018 summer edition will go on, as we continue to investigate claims made by both sides in this far reaching scandal" said network executives.
