The State of Tennessee has passed a law banning the sale of popular spirits such as Bourbon, Scotch, and Tennessee Whiskey. In their statement they cited the "pervasive nature" of these drinks as the guiding reason for the radical change to the state law. The change goes in to effect 10/01 as an Executive Order by the Governor but must hold up to a vote by the State Legislature in 2018.
