Mattel announced today its plans to discontinue Barbie and family from the shelves on December 31st of 2017. Their will be a special addition Barbie that will be released just before Christmas to commemorate Barbie and friends. Mattel has not yet announced as to why they are going to stop making the Barbie collection, but they plan to make the announcement sometime in November. Barbie collectors will surely be shocked by this decision and parents will be disappointed. We will have more details about this shocking announcement hopefully soon.
