LOS ANGELES, CA (Reuters) Founding member,bassist Michael Anthony,denied reports today that a Van Halen/Hagar reunion is eminent. "There is no truth to that." said Anthony who is currently on the road playing with Sammy Hagar. "I think I would know." continued the hall of fame bassist. "Those guys know where to reach me, and I have not talked with either of them in years."
In 2008 Anthony was replaced by Wolfgang, who is his godson and son of guitarist Eddie Van Halen. "(I) taught Wolfie to play bass from an early age when his dad was off drinking or doing whatever. In hind sight that was my mistake. Right now I'm in Chickenfoot." Anthony said. "To be honest, there's about as much of a chance of me rejoining as there is of Gary Cherone coming back to the band, what a disaster that was."
