The government of Canada have finalized the Agricultural Benefits claim for a northern Saskatchewan reservation. Fond du Lac First Nation has been compensated in the amount of $265 million dollars which translates to approximately $89,000 to every eligible band member as a lump sump payment. (Based on a population of 3,000 people). The payment will start as by October 31/2017, for receipients who have their Direct Deposit information registered.
