Hassan Whiteside, Miami's star center, has been held out of the last 2 games with an unknown knee ailment. Although not initially concerning, Whiteside suffered a setback in practice and went down in significant pain. Although the Heat have not yet received Whiteside's official MRI, the early expectation is that he endured a partially torn MCL ligament in his left knee. If this proves to be true, the injury should not end his season but perhaps keep him out up until the All-Star break. In his absence expect veteran Kelly Olynyk as well as young players, Edrice Adebayo and A.J. Hammons to fill in at center.
