Teacher at school, unnamed for safety reasons, assaulted a student in an English class on Monday 23rd October at around 10:05am. Student said in shock "he was voilently aggressive towards me and I felt violated that a teacher would lay his hands on me. Further questioning will take place at Newcastle Crown Court on Thursday 26th October. Northumbria police encourage that anyone who seen or witnessed the assault should come forward.
