A first for the Bawnleigh Bandits with a battle for the top between siblings Rachael O’ Gowlman and Kelven O’ Gorgeous. The wider Mayfield community gathered at the Fountain on the Grand Parade last night to hear O’ Gorgeous spark panic and uncertainty for the Bandits as he bids to head the untameable gang through their busiest time of year Halloween and Christmas.
Rachael O’ Gowlman has led the gang for the past two years and has never been challenged on leadership before. However, In a bold move last night having secured VIP status in Cork’s no. 1 nightclub The Voodoo Rooms Kelven O’ Gorgeous has moved a step closer in pushing his sister off her very comfortable Voodoo Throne.
Grass root members are in shock and are uncertain about what to do but in a not surprising move one of the Bandit’s original members Richard Sally Handsome Crowley has given his full support to O’ Gowlman for fear of being excommunicated and left sober until the New Year! Staoibhe, the Bandits Power Couple have shocked the community by splitting their loyalties down the middle leaving both contenders still struggling for power.
In a desperate attempt for control over her gang, O’ Gowlman has cut off all access to the Vodka source demanding that everyone support her.
Ultimately the deciding vote will be made by The Daily Doocey who for once in his life is staying tight lipped about the future of the Bandits but in a statement earlier he has said an announcement on who will be leading the Bawnleigh Bandits into the new year will be made of the 10th of November in the Voodoo Rooms by the gang’s long time associate Jenny Greene. A source from within the Bandits has said the announcement is not to be missed!
