SEATTLE (UPIZ) — Tech giant Amazon. com began shipping cats to every American household Friday, hoping to turn every American into a cat lover.
Boxes of cats, some opened and ready to demand food, began arriving early Friday in several West Coast cities, such as Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, Fresno and Cleveland. Cats are expected to arrive in other U.S. cities by Monday or Tuesday, depending on if the cats are members of Amazon Prime and if they qualify for two-day shipping.
Not every one agrees with Amazon's decision. Dog Lovers Of America, a nonprofit group led by former Vice President George W. Bush, issued a statement calling the company's move "an attack on our freedoms."
"Dog lovers across this great land are ready to bark and growl at any cats that arrive unwanted in our homes," Bush said.
