Little Rock police are finished with a two-year drug trafficking investigation in the city. The investigation, named Project Get Dat Money, has been the center of much talk going on in the streets of the city. Over the past 24 months, police and detectives have gathered the names of nearly 258 people who buy prescription medications, particularly roxycodone. “We wouldn’t have been able to do this alone,” Police Chief Kenton Buckner said Monday afternoon in a news conference. “We were able to intervene in the trafficking of drugs by using well-known dealers around the city. They really worked with us and we are forever grateful.” Chief Buckner states that many former sellers agreed to be wired and record all transactions that happened between them and buyers. “We will begin the process of issuing warrants in the next two weeks.” The Police Department has released the names of those that helped in the investigation and a full list of those with warrants is expected to be available after a press release on Friday afternoon.

We will continue to update information as if becomes available.
