Art Teacher Arrested for Stealing Pine Cones from Trees and Lawns

Art Teacher, Gina Jorgensen, was arrested Monday night after several neighbors reported her pulling up to their homes, and near by Alverno College, and taking their pine cones dropped by their trees. She jumped out of the her vehicle with a bag and proceeded to pick up the cones without permission. One neighbor who wanted to remain anonymous stated, "My pine cones were just laying there on the sidewalk, and grass, and she just took them. What's this world coming to." Jorgensen was also sighted plucking pine cones from trees on Alverno College campus.
When in custody, Jorgensen was asked why she did it. She stated that she "needed them for a class art project. I thought because they were on the sidewalk, they were free for the taking." Jorgensen also said she is apologetic for any harm caused by her actions and asked for forgiveness from those hurt by her actions.
