In a move guaranteed to generate more cries from Democrats that President Trump is creating a family dynasty, Ivanka Trump, first wife of the President, has been appointed to serve as the United States Ambassador to Transylvania. The Senate is expected to approve this appointment quickly so that Ambassador Trump can begin serving in Transylvania's seat of government, Cluj, early in 2018. In a statement read by the White House, President Trump "believes that Ambassador Ivanka Trump will serve the United States with distinction in Transylvania. She was born in the region and is aware of the challenges faced by the people there. The United States remains committed to Transylvania and its defense commitments to the Balkans. Please join me in wishing America's newest Ambassador success and Godspeed in representing freedom in a beleaguered part of the globe."
