Secretary of education Richard Bruton has advised all ministers that as of the 5/1/2018 all secondary level education will be taught 6 days a week in place of the standard 5 days.
School hours will stay the same with the added 3.5 hours on a Saturday, starting at 9am and finishing at 12.30pm. All schools are expected to inform students in the coming weeks.
