Thornaby Academy headteacher Donna Butcher has officially signed the contract to hand over the school- along with all the students- to highest bidder Tonza Markun in Cancun. The school will be airlifted via 60-70 helicopters to location in Fortza, Cancun. The journey will take 13 days and students will be supplied with food and water. The teachers are not included in the deal, apart from those who have volunteered.
The transaction is said to be worth £200-250. Donna Butcher has refused to comment.
